An easy way to think about this, is what you have saved on the accommodation, and maybe offer a days worth of that. Or around that. Or even a bit less. But something. If you are out of thoughts this list will make your life easy.

PREMIUM CANDLE
There are these so simple pleasures in a house that most of us actually don't treat ourselves into. A luxury candle is on the top of this list. Makes the mood, smells great, looks cute. Right on the line of nice-to-have and splurge, the luxury candle makes it at the top of the list. Recently got these Diptiqye candles and they are sooo lovely. Even the instructions on how to use them give this extra cult vibe for this prized possesion.

VASE
Never in my life I bought a vase. My friends or my family‘s friends gifted us so many beautiful vases that I am lucky now to have a whole collection to choose from. With so many beautiful designs and options availiable to choose from where can you start? I would suggest motel a mio. Everyone loves these handmade portuguese ceramics so it's as safe as a choice can get.
Plus they can always exchange them for something that fits them more from a big variety of products.

FLOWERS
Combo with your gift -3-? Maybe.. But regardless, If you see a nice empty vase (or even a big enough glass🤪) around? Fill it up! Of course the color of the flowers matter, so follow the colors of the interior or go for some safe-choice white ones. Big no to lillies and chrysanthemum (i know they look soo good but there is connection to funerals so just stir away no matter how chill your friends are.

HAND CARE
It might be that I am adding this to most gifts guides. I promise its not laziness, just that is such a great present for all. To parents, friends, younger, older, men, women nonbinary, everyone loves a nice smelling / hand hydrating / good looking luxury hand product. Smelling great and iconic, is the aesop hand products so you will never go wrong with one product or a set from the brand.

CANDLE HOLDER
This must be a personal favourite as a love candles any time of the year and all round the day. If you have been buying a candle holder before, you know they are relatively affordable home accessories, so you can splurge without e going out of your budget! I recently got these minimal ones, that are extra tall so that they can be placed on a table and look sleek or even stand on the floor.

DINNER or DRINKS
If your hosts are still in town and you practically live together for a weekend, showing your gratitude is even easier: just invite them out for dinner or drinks! That one is easier when your schedules coincide and - honestly - who doesn’t love to be treated to a nice meal or their favourite coctail?

COCKTAIL RECIPE BOOK
Maybe I dream of a Moscow-Mule while writing this...
But let's take the love for cocktails seen in point -5- and build further to it. There are some beautiful editions of coctail recipe books that give useful tips and tricks and come out handy during a party or gathering. And they look great tucked in at the library or even mini bar corner of the house.

Since we are talking of coctails, another beautiful home accessory with a special / luxurious vibe to it, is the coctail mixing set. Yes, most likely your friends won’t use it everyday. But when they need it, they will love you for it. Plus it looks so good!

Don’t get me wrong, I preach luxury and premium gifts (even in mini affordable sizes). But there is something so much fun when gifting and letting people try new flavours! Also perfect for conversation starter as you likely have some stories or fun facts around your lovely treats.
ps. As you probably see all over this blog, i live in techno-art-love-land Berlin! So whenever I travel outside Germany, I think is so fun bringing some snack specialities from Berlin and Berliner Luft is my conversation starter (also veeery available at the airport duty free).

DESIGN KITCHENWARE
You would have to thank my brother for this great idea, as this is one of the gifts he offered before to a family when they hosted him over for a weekend. A simple yet designer kitchen accessorie that is both useful and so unique looking. Love it!
